Would you like to help with the Lions Park project?

We have just received another $5000 matching grant (and hope to receive another $5000 by the end of August) from the City Council to extend the pathways and plant more trees this fall. These funds build on $15,000 of previous matching grants, a $1000 donation from a local business--DHI Computing Services, $250 from the Provo Lions Club, over $1200 donations from individuals in the neighborhood, and most importantly, hundreds and hundreds of volunteer work hours by people within and beyond the neighborhood. These volunteer hours are particularly important because we must match the grants from the city primarily with donated time. This fall we will be doing preparation and clean-up work for the pathways (such as removing and replacing sod) and planting trees. If you would like to help us continue to transform the park, please contact project coordinator, Aaron Skabelund, at a.skabelund@gmail.com, and watch for signs in the neighborhood announcing when we will be doing the work. Thanks!
